Your new team

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Pathology Service provides a wide range of pathology services to The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne Private Hospital. The Royal Melbourne Hospital provides a broad range of acute health care services including general and specialty adult medical, surgical, pre-operative, mental health and emergency services to our patients and community.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of the service to ensure the collection service is adaptive to change, efficient and complies with relevant standards

  • Proven ability to lead, manage change, mentor and support a team of highly skilled staff

  • Be engaged with all clinical stakeholders to ensure a prompt and responsive service is available during hours of operation.

Your Contribution

  • You are an influential leader with a track record of driving change across a complex health care environment.

  • Be willing to foster quality improvements and lead the service towards excellence in performance and customer focused activities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with an established multidisciplinary health care team to achieve optimum results

  • Previous pathology collection experience would be favourable

  • Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Previous experience as a Nurse Unit Manager
