About us
Technology Solutions (TS) provides a range of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). The business unit sets the strategic direction of ICT in alignment with the business direction. TS is responsible for ICT strategies, initiatives, architectures, policies, projects, applications, and infrastructure services in a multi-sourced environment.
About the role
As a Senior Telecommunications Support Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing project management services and professional technical support in the area of Unified Communications (UC)
- supporting the Telecommunications video conferencing services administrator and a team of technical specialists responsible for the management and operation of the department's voice and video platforms
- prepare and present technical briefs, telephony help desk support, develop and maintain technical documentations and maintain accurate service and equipment inventories
- assist with bill auditing and processing, preparing cost allocate statements and validating carrier billing data
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- technical experience in supporting Cisco Unified Communications Manager telephony environment, including configuration, implementation, and on-going support
- telecommunications qualification or experience (highly desirable)
- demonstrated knowledge and experience with server management including VMWARE
- proven experience managing and configuration of Cisco infrastructure including switches and firewall
