This Manager, Asset Planning contract requires a highly skilled candidate to lead a large team.

Your new company

This State Government organisation is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving a large infrastructure portfolio that gives directly back to the Victorian Community.

Your new role

Due to an internal shift within the department, the team responsible for making informed decision for asset or infrastructure investments across the portfolio requires a Manager on an initial 6-month contract. This role involves:

  • Leading a team of 12, you will lead the department responsible for making decisions regarding monetary spending across the portfolio, made up of Asset Engineers, Policy professionals and Support Officers who will all assist in gathering data and advising this area;
  • Focused on business cases, policy writing and working across the organisation including that of its executives, this high priority role requires a technical professional and a people person.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have:

  • A background within a similar role, managing an Asset portfolio as well as leading a larger team;
  • A tertiary qualification, both a technical qualification and business focused qualification would be highly beneficial;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and written skills, having put together business case documentation in a previous role.
