Established in 2001 The Turret Cafe and Catering has become a well known, respected, multi-award winning venue in the Ballarat region.

The Turret Café is a licensed café restaurant serving modern Australian cuisine and excellent coffee with a focus on friendly customer service. Open 7 days a week until 5:00 pm serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon menu.

We have a full time position available for a Chef with a solid background in a busy kitchen environment. A positive attitude and willingness to learn is essential.

You will be working in a productive versatile kitchen preparing fresh food to a high and consistent standard. Maintaining kitchen hygiene and HACCP records. An understanding of kitchen management is a must-have, as you will supervise cook and kitchen hand staffs. You are also responsible for designing new menus from time to time, and ordering supplies and equipment. You will provide opinions as to kitchen staffs hiring and selections, and you will be training other junior staffs. You need to be passionate about your career with the ability to work with an enthusiastic team.
