The Opportunity
As our client continues to develop and improve their system offerings, they is set to move manufacturing back onshore and so immediately require the services of a highly skilled full time electronic engineering technician.

Responsibilities
Working under an experienced team of engineers the role will be responsible for assisting to develop improvements of mobile monitoring system and ensure electronic hardware components are appropriately assembled meeting the required quality standards.
Role tasks and duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Set up electronic systems and devices
- Read and as required prepare or amend blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
- Assemble and connect system components (such as cables, coils, boards etc.)
- Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry and electronic components according to engineering requirements, relevant technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.
- Research equipment and component needs, sources, competitive prices, delivery times and ongoing operational costs.
- Maintain inventory and related documentation
- Write computer or microprocessor software programs as required
- Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyse results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment and provide reporting to assist engineers
- Maintain system logs, charts and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
- Design basic circuitry and draft sketches for clarification of details and design documentation under engineers' direction, using drafting instruments and computer aided design equipment.
- Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans.
Successful applicants can demonstrate
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications to a minimum of a highly relevant diploma level or equivalent
- At least 2 years highly relevant professional experience
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Well-developed communication skills
