About us and your new team
In May 2020 CBA announced that it had sold a 55% stake of Colonial First State (superannuation, investment and retirement solutions & platform business) to Private Equity Firm KKR with the transaction expected to be completed midway through 2021.
Colonial First State (CFS) provides a Wrap Platform to independent financial advisers, dealer groups and other organisations and their clients to invest in a variety of investment options and to manage, transact and report on those investments.
The majority of the Wrap team (business and IT) is based in the CFS office based in Hawthorn but some business/project stakeholders are also based in Sydney. With the impending separation of CFS from Commbank and a number of major transformation and uplift programs underway, there is a need to carefully plan, track and manage the activities in these projects to meet budget, schedule, quality and scope objectives.
About your new role
This is a 12 month fixed term contract role as a Senior PMO Analyst within the CFS Wrap Team with the possibility of further extensions and/or permanent employment.
Your impact will be to help support successful delivery of these critical projects through effective delivery of project management practices.
This role will report to a Senior Manager of Wrap Technology, but day to day management will be from the Project Manager(s).
The Senior PMO Analyst is required to build and manage relationships with:
Project Manager/s
Project Team members
Business teams impacted by the projects
Communication Manager(s) – Business Units
Project Co-ordinators/Personal Assistants
Key Stakeholders

Develop and maintain appropriate project management tracking mechanisms to monitor and report on schedule/milestones, budget, issues and risks using various tools
Pro-actively plan ahead to see upcoming tasks and milestones and take action to avoid last minute requests /surprises – be organised
Assist the Project Manager and/or project teams with administration support (eg meeting minutes, prepare status reports, maintain issue and risk logs etc)
Develop appropriate record keeping practices to ensure critical project artefacts are logged, stored and accessible for internal or external auditors
About you
Risk Mindset –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
Demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of large scale complex, project based change (within Financials Services organisations, preferably with Wealth) in a PMO/project support team
Strong attention to detail - ensuring all records and critical correspondence is tracked and externally auditable
Support/Service mindset – helping the Project Manager and team to simplify project administration functions so they can focus on project delivery
Exceptional time management and organisational skills with the ability to juggle many tasks but deliver on time and with high quality and escalate when need help or clarification of priorities
Advanced Sharepoint and Excel Skills
Proficient in the use of collaboration tools such as Skype for Business, MS Teams, Confluence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
