This is a unique opportunity for a registered Maternal Child Health Nurse to work in a Parent Infant Mental Health Inpatient Unit undertaking infant health developmental and physical assessments of infants.

The Parent Infant Program is a six bed ward with a family focus, and follows a team treatment approach Staffed by a psychiatrist, psychiatric registrar, psychiatric nurses, maternal child health nurse, pharmacist, allied health, and play/movement therapist. Mothers are admitted with the infant for a range of issues including severe depressive or anxiety and puerperal psychosis; there may be a background of trauma, mental illness, familial social emotional problems and social isolation.

This role is available for a fixed position appointment to cover long service leave arrangements and is available at 6 hours per week. The role is available from 15/02/21 until 25/04/21.
