JOB DESCRIPTION

Administration Assistant - Part Time


The ideal candidate has current, or previous experience, working in administration, in a public accounting practice.


It is important to have the ability to work in a small team. To be adaptable, flexible and comfortable with online computer systems.


The main focus is administration for an accounting practice. Any skills in basic tax return preparation, BAS preparation, or bookkeeping should be noted by the candidate. Training can be provided in these other areas, depending on the candidate.


We are looking for a team player that can grow with the practice. Starting at 1 day per week, we anticipate the position to grow over the next 12-24 months.


Candidates with previous accounting practice experience should apply.

Responsibilities

  • Handle office mail, scanning and online filing
  • Manage annual company ASIC compliance, using CAS360 software
  • Assist with compiling and sending final reports and returns to clients
  • Assist with tax return, BAS preparation, or bookkeeping, where candidate has experience
  • Provide ad hoc support around office as needed


Qualifications

  • Relevant office experience in an accounting practice
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
