Test Analyst

  • Annual Salary Range: $101,120 - $122,348 per annum plus superannuation
  • Tenure: Fixed Term (9 months)

About the Team 

The Department of Tranport's Human Capital Management & Payroll (HCMP) project is a joint initiative between the department's People and Culture and Enterprise Technology divisions. It aims to transition existing legacy HCM and Payroll applicationcs to a Cloud platform, in line with the Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) direction. The project covers several Human Resource (HR) functions across the department. 

About the Opportunity

The Test Analyst (HCMP) plans and implements testing disciplines and methodology across Department of Transport ICT's projects. This role will support the Department of Transport's testing strategy as part of the Whole of Victorian Government's (WoVG) Human Capital Management & Payroll (HCMP) Project. Working with the HCMP Test Lead, the incumbent will provide testing quality assurance over this significant and complex project into the Department of Transport.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end testing function to support the development and implementation in line with the business and technical requirements. In addition to functional testing, it includes critical data migration testing, integration with internal/external applications and the implementation of an automation testing framework compatible with vendor products as well as the BAU support teams.

About You

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into testing plans and activities and identify practical considerations and solutions.
  • Collaborates effectively to work towards goals that benefit the team, which includes contributing ideas for business improvement and maintaining positive and productive relationships.
  • Deep understanding of testing concepts, testing tools and SDLC.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and measurable targets on complex projects and manage project risks and issues to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Solid understanding of defect management tools, execution progress tracking, reporting, ITIL framework and concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing third party development vendors to ensure alignment with DoT testing strategy and business expectations.
