Immediate requirement for an established services manager to work on Melbourne's major commercial projects.

The builder

One of Australia's leading builders in the T1 sector requires an experienced services manager to work across their major commercial projects within Melbourne.

• Initial 3 month contract.
• Work on Melbourne's major commercial projects
• Work with one of Australia's leading builders with a great reputation for delivering some of Melbourne's most well known projects
• If successful in role, their will be opportunity to extend or join the builder in a permanent position

The Role

As Services Manager, supported by a team of Services Engineers, you will play an integral role in managing and resolving the detail design for the complex building services packages across the project, whilst managing subcontractors and service suppliers to deliver a successful construction project.
This includes:

• Developing and maintaining construction programs,
• Implementing the procurement strategy,
• Value engineering,
• Managing quality and ensuring high levels of Health & Safety at all times.
• You will be responsible for the finalization of the design and delivery of all MEP elements across project in Melbourne as well as the review and establishment of scope and budget in the ECI and GMP phases.

Your background

• Relevant engineering or construction management background supported by proven experience in T1 or large scale T2 projects which have advanced building services (mechanical, hydraulic and electrical).
• Prior experience working on large scale T1 projects in the commercial sector in Melbourne
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive customer focused outcomes, safety, quality and sustainability within your team.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative nature.
• Proven background in engaging with multiple internal, external and client stakeholder groups
• Genuine passion for working on major building projects.
