About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Bid Manager to join our Bid Submissions team in Melbourne. As a Spotless Bid Submissions Manager, you will be a vital member of the initial bid strategy and preplanning through to bid preparation, submission and post submission. As a results-driven professional, you will thrive in a team environment comprised of a Bid Director/Bid Lead, Operational Lead, internal and external Subject Matter Experts, Bid Writers, Bid Co-ordinator and Commercial/ Pricing analysts. You will engage with key stakeholders in the business to support the bid development process and use your expertise to identify and articulate client requirements into winning bids.

You will be passionate about producing bids which you are proud of and are unrelenting in your customer focused approach to writing and evidence-based solutions. Working with the Bid Director/ Bid Lead you will develop and ratify solution Win Themes and the language that will resonate throughout the written response.

In this pivotal role, you will manage the bidding lifecycle and ensure the delivery of on-time submissions across a wide range of industry sectors and facility management service lines.

Key Duties

  • Managing, leading and quality control of the bid submission processes
  • Maintaining compliance to the Opportunity and Bid Process including adherence to the review and approval processes as well as obtaining sponsor sign-off
  • Management of the bid lodgement and bid governance processes
  • In line with planned bid lifecycle process ensure all project milestones are met
  • Understanding of the key client drivers and associated bid strategies and articulating the solution in clear, concise and compelling response, supported by evidence.
  • Supporting the development of innovative solutions and dynamic responses to service-based submissions
  • Writing, editing, review and management of bid content
  • Development of the presentation and design brief for the bid submission documents
  • Liaising with relevant managers and directors to ensure all proposals are appropriately resourced
  • Providing reports and analysis as required.

About You

  • Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience in bid management
  • Ability to work with the team to identify, understand and articulate client issues / hot buttons, and benefits
  • Record of success in the preparation of bids in a service-based environment
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with executives and senior management
  • Exceptional MS Office skills
  • Ability to extract ideas from an operational solution and structure a compelling document to reflect the solutions winning themes
