Your new role

Finance Partner, Investments will have ownership over providing accurate and timely financial management reporting, as well as ad hoc reporting for the Investments department. This will include commentary and actionable insights into performance against the group's strategic goals and objectives. You will conduct quarterly forecasts, annual business planning and longer term strategic planning process through target setting and benchmarking. This role will maintain the cost model and bespoke software system used to calculate the Fund's indirect investment costs and ensure costs are allocated accurately to investment sectors. You will also ensure that reporting aligns with ASIC Regulatory Guide 97 and contribute to the industry discussions regarding improvements to disclosures.

You will become a “Trusted Advisor” with the Investments team by delivering timely advice and expert guidance on financial matters. As such, you will contribute and present on financial matters in a number of forums, including reporting to senior leaders, various governance committees (e.g. Investment Committee, Finance & Audit Committees.) You will also be in a position to Asist with responses to queries from regulators and internal auditors. Below are other key duties but not limited to;

  • Identify opportunities for commercial and process improvements, including driving continuous improvements with the finance function
  • Manage the collation and input data from various sources, including the Finance team, Project Office, Custodian, Investment Managers, various internal Investment teams to produce the Investment Cost Ratio for all investment options, with relevant reporting on a monthly basis
  • Ensure risks within area of responsibility are effectively managed in line with Fund risk appetite and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the longer term forecast in relation to the Investment product.
What you'll need
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance with a CA or CPA.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to identify when data and analysis is materially incorrect, and obtain solutions;
  • Developed ability to review, challenge and add value
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and operate independently;
