About Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street

The hotel is built on the historically-significant Equity Chambers site and will feature 244 stylish guest rooms, including 10 spacious suites, a restaurant and bar, fully equipped gym and five meeting & event spaces.

About The Role

We are looking for coffee connoisseurs who are passionate about their craft! The lucky candidates will be working with one of the best coffee rosters in Melbourne, Dukes Coffee. The coffee machines will be brand new and training will be provided from Dukes themselves! Specifically this role will involve:

• Welcoming guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner, including but not limited to serving as a food runner, barista or bartender when required
• Getting to know our customers and their regular coffee orders
• Keep up to date with the latest trends and even be bold enough to create a few of your own
• Understand menu content, any menu changes and promotional activities
• Work efficiently while maintaining a clean, tidy and well prepared service area
• Depending on the shift you may also be required to pour/mix basic alcoholic beverages.
  

What are we looking for?

• Must have a current and valid Victorian ‘Responsible Service of Alcohol’ certificate
• Experience working as a barista in a busy environment
• Strong coffee knowledge and basic understanding of alcoholic beverages
• Friendly, positive, energetic disposition
• Have excellent communication skills
• Well-presented and calm demeanour
• A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
• Willingness and ability to work around a 7 day week roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
