Job Details
- Assist the Climate and Sustainability team deliver high quality recycling and waste services and provide advice on resource recovering and working to create a circular economy
- Full-time, 12-month role
- $70,319 - $81,985 per annum + Super
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and team-oriented individual to join the Climate and Sustainability team.
The Recycling and Waste Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver high quality waste and street cleansing services.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop and deliver recycling and waste initiatives outlined in Council's Community Plan and Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
- Supervise waste services consultants and contractors.
- Ensure that Recycling and Waste services are delivered to service standards and contractual arrangements.
- Investigate complaints and undertake performance reviews of each contractor to guarantee contract adherence and performance.
You are a customer focused individual who is great at developing rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders and maintaining cooperative relationships.
The Following Is Also Required
- An understanding of the key strategic issues of climate change, recycling and waste.
- Ability to implement project plans and undertake research.
- Degree or diploma qualification in sustainability, marketing, communications, project management or related discipline with some relevant work experience, or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and relevant experience.
