JOB DESCRIPTION

This role presents an exciting opportunity to combine policy development skills with direct school engagements. The Principal Policy Officer will lead a team to work with and support Victorian government schools to implement a complex and high profile Department policy - the Parent Payments Policy. The role will work collaboratively across the Department to align policy development and review and stakeholder engagement and planning.

The Principal Policy Officer will lead a team to work with and support Victorian government schools to implement a complex and high profile Department policy - the Parent Payments Policy. The role will work collaboratively across the Department to align policy development and review and stakeholder engagement and planning.

To be successful in this role, you will have high conceptual and analytical abilities and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be relied on for your leadership and ability to deal with complexity in a complex environment. You will lead policy development and stakeholder engagement with the support of a dedicated team. Your capacity to establish and maintain productive and consultative relationships will be critical as will the ability to deliver outcomes and drive change in a complex environment.
