JOB DESCRIPTION

Role/Department Description FactSet Client Data Integration (CDI) is a team of client facing specialists focused on the process and development cycle surrounding the on-boarding of client financial data onto FactSet's systems. The ability for prospective and existing clients to view, analyze, and benchmark their own proprietary data is a key differentiator for FactSet, with products such as Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Wealth, and a suite of Fixed Income applications relying on the timeliness and accuracy of portfolio data and other data sets.

Specialists are expected to lead the implementation process, working closely with our clients, sales, specialists and any third-parties involved in the data extraction and upload. Management of the data integration process from start to finish is the primary mandate of our team, including: identifying data requirements for financial instruments, extraction from accounting systems, design and building the solution to load data, and validating the data to ensure accuracy on FactSet's systems. In addition to working directly with clients (e.g. asset managers, wealth managers and hedge funds), custodians and other FactSet specialists on the total universe of asset classes, there will be broad exposure to FactSet business practices, products and infrastructure. This provides many opportunities to further develop technical and financial asset knowledge, as well as contribute to product design both internal and external to this team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary resource and project manager for the entire implementation process of client portfolio data
  • Partner with technical, financial contacts and FactSet Analytics Specialists to understand and translate the client's investment universe and reporting requirements into data specifications
  • Ensure client data is complete and accurate, while improving quality and addressing data integrity issues
  • Become familiar with third-party accounting systems, order management systems, custodians, and other platforms/vendors that make up our clients' technology landscape
  • Oversee and improve existing data integration processes between clients and FactSet
  • Occasional travel to client sites during major implementations
Required Skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in independent work on both technical and financial aspects of implementations
  • Experiences of working with CDI and FactSet tools to integrate and manage data feeds
  • Strong technical skills and deep FactSet product knowledge
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and multitask on a significant volume of simultaneous requests, projects, and other initiatives without decline in quality of output
  • Enthusiasm, desire, and a strong sense of initiative
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • One year of Client Data Integration experience or two years of FactSet consulting or related industry experience
