Contract Administrator Role

We are currently seeking a Contracts Administrator that is passionate about joining our project team. They will have the ability to drive and meet time frames and combine management of budgets, quality control and customer relations to deliver an exceptional building experience to our customers. They will manage and coordinate the following tasks on a project by project basis.

  • Obtain Building Permit, relevant council permits and documentation
  • Prepare protection works notices & apply for bonds
  • Organise dilapidation reports + warranty & maintenance claims
  • Obtain relevant insurances
  • Send RFIs to clients and architects
  • Assist the Project Manager in projects to ensure all are completed on time and within budgets
  • Obtain quotation from suppliers for cost comparison
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of supplier contracts
  • Handle SWMS and other relevant OHS docs
  • Attend site meetings, taking minutes when needed
  • Liaise with clients, estimators and architects
  • Prepare purchase orders & work with accounts & financial institutions
  • Verify sub-contractor invoices & administer variations
  • Help complete defects lists with Site Managers
  • Obtain Occupancy Permit
  • Manage pre-handover and post-handover process
  • Other administrative duties as required
  • Understanding of formal documentation & ability to read detailed drawings
  • Experience liaising with town planning and building consultants
  • Excellent presentation & communication

Experience & skills we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience working on projects as a Contracts Administrator on multi unit projects
  • Understanding of formal documentation & ability to read detailed drawings
  • Construction sector experience in Australia required
  • Relent tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Strong communication skills and commercial acumen
  • Highly influential and strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
