Currently Home Care Assistance is recruiting for Support Care Workers to provide in-home care, across various locations in Melbourne.

Our experienced Care Managers provide you with regular timely support; you will receive client focused training on shift with Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist so that you can continue to provide excellent care to all our clients.

Home Care Assistance provide in-home care for people through the NDIS (disability support), My Aged Care (Home Care packages), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and After-Hospital Support programs.

The position

• Community and home based care
• Regular shifts with immediate start
• Flexible hours - you can choose days & time of work
• Locations shifts available : Wantirna, Bayswater, Boronia, Glen Waverley, Waverley, Narre Warren, Montmorency

Key Duties

· Assisting clients with personal care and home exercise programs

· Assisting clients with housekeeping

· Community access: shopping, appointments, gym program

· Preparing food and feeding clients

Essential Criteria for the position

· Certificate in Aged Care and/or Disability/Individual support

· Current and valid Driver licence

· Current First Aid Certificate & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

· Smart mobile phone and internet access

· Relevant industry experience/120 hours of placement (palliative care/dementia care/help with transferring clients/use of hoist)

· Current National Police Check (within 12-month validity/or be prepared to obtain)

· Valid work rights in Australia
