Our Client is looking for a Procurement Specialist. The purpose of this role is to provide high quality procurement support across the whole business and a good understanding of the Victorian Government Purchasing Board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement support and specialist advice including across the organisation on procurement policies
  • Draft and prepare all procurement documentation
  • Manage and update the procurement register and provide reporting of all procurements on a monthly basis
  • Manage end to end procurement activities and documentation.
  • Co-ordinate activities with the Contract Management Office, Procurement Division, and Finance and Departmental legal staff as required.

Skills and experience

  • Extensive experience in procurement both in the BAU and project space.
  • Government procurement experience preferably with Victorian Government Purchasing Board requirements.
  • Strong experience with Victorian public sector procurement including use of government panel contracts
  • Prior experience with managing complex procurement of IT services and technologies
  • Knowledge of Local Jobs First and Social Procurement requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and a can do attitude
