About The Role

Role Location- Melbourne

Role Type- Permanent, Full time

The Reporting stream of work within Risk Strategy is working to reimagine the ways in which risk information is provided to users across the bank. This will involve reimagining how information and data is captured, transformed, stored and delivered to enable more trusted, frequent and accessible information for risk and business teams.

The Product Owner - Reimagining Delivery will play a key role in helping execute on this vision by identifying our future state operating model for how the different areas of risk, business and technology work together effectively and the required capabilities to deliver this on an ongoing basis.

In order to successfully deliver on these priorities, it will be imperative to maintain strong collaborative relationships across the Divisional and Enterprise Risk teams, providing ongoing communication and progress updates to drive the acceptance and required cultural change, and remove any road blocks.

Your Key Priorities And Responsibilities Include-

Delivery of major initiatives
    • Scope and coordinate work to design the Information Delivery future state operating model for Risk, including identifying the desired skillsets across these teams in the future, and building or sourcing accordingly.
    • Identify and build governance processes across the end to end lifecycle of information delivery that will promote efficient reuse and standardisation across central and divisional teams, including both the commissioning and decommissioning of information and reports.
    • Identify desired skillsets and determine plan to either drive uplift in existing capacity, or identify new capacity

Product Ownership
    • Play a key coordinating role across the teams, as well as both the Enterprise Technology and Data teams, that are critical to the delivery of the initiative
    • Understand and plan for interdependencies across streams to ensure that there is minimal disruption to the team’s ability to complete their work
    • Ensure roadblocks are removed that inhibit the team’s ability to deliver the initiative
    • Influence timely decision-making to ensure squads are enabled to deliver as effectively as possible


About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following-
  • Previous experience in scoping and developing plans for strategic pieces of work
  • Extensive experience in executing business change including key stakeholder management
  • In-depth understanding of how to identify key capabilities, and then build or source as required
  • Proven analytical skills and data-driven decision making
  • Developed mechanisms to track performance and value realisation on investment
  • Identify, monitor and manage risks, issues and dependencies, agreeing appropriate risk responses
