The Marketing team at Meltwater directly contributes to the business by engaging with existing clients and prospects to convert them as leads to generate sales. Supporting a fast growing team of media experts, we are constantly on the lookout for the latest trends and updates, staying ahead of the game and pushing boundaries. Our day to day includes not only connecting with the sales teams, but also data analysis and creating deliverables, and helping build engagement with our clients through field marketing and digital marketing.

As a result of our rapid growth in the wider APAC region, Meltwater Australia is looking for the perfect fit for a new and dynamic role. The successful candidate will have the expertise and the experience to take our AUNZ Marketing efforts to the next level. Who are you?

As the Marketing lead for the AUNZ region, you will have full responsibility for all customer-facing Marketing efforts across the area. You should have a deep understanding of the local market and know what strategies to use, to bring Meltwater to the front of the pack in a highly competitive environment.

You will lead the Marketing programs and partner with our AUNZ leadership team to drive consideration and create demand for our products and solutions among potential and current clients. You will be focused on influencing the customer journey, including: crafting messaging and positioning for PR and Marketing buyers and driving customer-oriented programs.

You will be a critical driver for initiatives that highlight the wins of our best customers to inspire others, including customer advocacy programs, case studies, customer references, and customer education. You will partner with centralised teams, including product marketing, digital marketing and design teams to tailor initiatives in the local market.

In our fast-paced market, you keep your finger on the pulse and are passionate about staying on top of current affairs, news and trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership and accountability for marketing strategy, budget and campaign execution for the AUNZ region
  • Working closely with our senior leadership team locally in AUNZ to develop and drive regional Marketing strategies
  • Plan and execute digital marketing programs, specifically SEM, and Field Marketing campaigns, such as webinars, events and EDMs, to drive new business revenue, customer retention and loyalty, and upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Create high-performing SEO content that adheres to Meltwater style guidelines and standards
  • Act as a strong partner with our sales organisation to provide best-in-class customer experience and reach our business goals
  • Elevate the Meltwater brand name by generating social exposure, media coverage, develop content for social media channels and local blog etc
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to source (or produce) content and educational material that builds awareness of Meltwater capabilities and accelerates the sales process across AUNZ
  • Report results, track performance, and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Optimise each marketing touchpoint using data, including top-of-funnel channels like social media and blogging, middle-of-funnel channels like email nurturing, and bottom-of-funnel activities with sales teammates
  • Support overall marketing team goals and programs, ensuring their success in your region


What We Would Like To See From You
  • 2-3 years of experience in strategic marketing and public relations, with a focus on demand generation, database marketing, content marketing, digital marketing or marketing programs
  • Strong abilities in digital marketing tactics, specifically SEM and Google Ads
  • Robust experience organising events, workshops, conferences
  • Experience in SEO, content creation and distribution in AUNZ
  • Ability to write effective copy is a necessity
  • Strong relationship management skills and thrive in customer-facing opportunities
  • Proven track-record of success in partnering with Sales for common goals
  • Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive, data-driven marketing plans
  • Great attention to detail and project management skills. This role requires balancing several initiatives together
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, organised, proactive, collaborative
  • Excellent English in both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis on communications, marketing, and/or business is a plus
