Are you a recent media graduate or looking to take the next step in your radio career? Think you’re a bit of a content ‘bull-dog’, willing to stretch creative boundaries to bring the best stories to air? Do you know social media platforms like the back of your hand?

If you relate to the above all too well, then we have the perfect opportunity just for you! In this newly created position as a Cadet Producer you will work within our metro radio markets and assist in creating truly compelling content for the national Tom & Olly show, as well as the national Weekend Breakfast Show. You will love working under pressure, to tight deadlines and will definitely not be afraid of a challenge.

In this Part Time role, you will work Monday – Thursday (7pm – 12am) and Saturday (6am – 10am) so naturally you will be a night-owl with the ability to pivot for an early morning start.

This cadetship is offered on a 12 month max term contract.

To Be Considered, You Will

  • Be a recent media graduate or have previous experience producing radio content.
  • Be able to multitask, work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Be proactive, super organised and takes initiative to innovate with the show vision.
  • Be connected to pop culture and current affairs that are relevant to a Hit Network audience.
  • Be proficient in social media platforms and how to utilise them.
  • Possess first-class verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work cooperatively with multiple teams from audio, visual, talent and other show producers.
  • Have exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Commercial Radio’s Codes of Practice & Guidelines.
  • Be a night owl, who is comfortable working late hours.
