Our client is a reputable Microsoft Gold Partner and are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect/Lead with excellent communications and technical skills to join their growing team. This is a permanent role based in Inner East Melbourne; walking distance from a train line.

The role of the Solutions Architect is to design and facilitate the delivery of architectural solutions for new enhanced business capabilities. The Solution Architect is responsible for communicating the technology and architectural view to customers, business and technical stakeholders and ensure that both tactical and strategic goals are considered with a pragmatic and collaborative approach to design.

Background/ Experience:

• Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect and/or Enterprise Architect
• Any lead or managerial experience is high desirable as you will have 2 direct reports
• Development experience with the Microsoft development technology stack
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with messaging, web services/apis, and integration technologies
• Experience with evaluating and deploying cloud-based solutions for both IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Experience in architecture modelling techniques and standards
• Experience with Identity Management technologies

Skills:

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to articulate solutions to both technical teams and senior business
• Proven experience developing strategic system architecture plans
• Must have strong leadership skills having mastered the ability to network, influence and effect change
• Will mentor and engage teams – must be comfortable leading technical discussions/workshops in front of a whiteboard
• Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices
• Strong documentation skills
• Experience conducting technology, trends, standards and products research
• Strong, senior technical and generalist experience across development technologies and functions – proven ability to provide both technical, strategic and operational advice and support
