About the client
Privately owned Australian Storage & Distribution company with multiple sites in each state (this role based at their site in the east of Melbourne). Metro and linehaul capabilities with vans and trucks ranging in size. Development opportunities into leadership group for all staff.
About the role
Working within a team of 4 allocators running couriers, vans and trucking fleet for metro and some linehaul movements. Prioritisation, time management and adaptive attitudes required due to changes throughout each days movements.
Duties & responsibilities
- Managing freight movements of up to 20+ drivers domestically
- Some linehaul movements
- Covering all palletised cargo
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders cargo updates
- Working on multiple priorities at the same time
- Relationship manage carriers, customers, drivers, internal staff
- Transport and Logistics background
- Transport / Fleet allocation background
- Route management exposure
- Load restrain understanding
- Time slotting
- Logical lateral thinker
- $80,000 + Super, negotiable
- Develop into management roles
- Expanding company
