Located on Melbourne’s Docklands, an opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Payroll Advisor to join their team for an initial 2 month contract.
You will be part of a government department that prides itself on it’s strong relationships with their customers, stakeholders and suppliers within the community and industries.
This role will include some of the following responsibilities:
- The accurate and timely preparation entry and transmission of fortnightly payroll data and associated material.
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of Awards, Industrial Agreements and statutory/legislative requirements.
- Providing accurate information to management and staff in a timely manner.
- Taking care of own and colleagues Health and Safety through identification and reporting of hazards and active involvement in improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional working knowledge of Chris21
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation
- Competent skills in working with relevant software packages
- Excellent numeracy skills, with the ability to understand routine formulas and calculate payroll matters such as overtime and remuneration package/contract details relevant Awards and how to apply
- Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated abilities to manage priorities
