About The Role

The Category Manager is a senior member of the Strategic Sourcing team, whose role is to partner with business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver improved patient care, through reduced Total Cost of Ownership, innovation in service delivery and a sustainable supply chain.

The Category Manager develops long-term objectives and implementations plans for categories of expenditure and utilises the various strategic sourcing levers at her/his disposal to implement these plans, that ultimately deliver long term sustainable value.

About You

You have an excellent grasp on the market, cost drivers, supply chain and expenditure which you use to develop deep category insights. In addition you have a demonstrated track record in delivering substantial and sustainable commercial savings teamed with excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to lead, guide and persuade internal stakeholders.

Looking to apply your skills and experience in a responsible and community centred organisation, you hold a relevant degree in Business or a technical field, and bring substantial years’ experience in a similar role. With previous Indirect or Direct Category Management experience, you are able think on your feet and quickly adapt to changing operational requirements.
