About the role

The HR Officer is part of a team of HR practitioners, providing HR advice and support for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation program response including:

  • Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers, and
  • Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, as the HR Officer you will provide high quality support to HR Business Partners and a range of stakeholders across the program allowing for effective implementation of a number of HR initiatives and projects. You will have a focus on delivering real value and pragmatic support assisting the program achieve its program outcomes.

The HR Officer will be providing expert stakeholder support HR initiatives, service delivery, and the development of innovative solutions to HR challenges. This position will also be responsible for high quality record keeping and support on all HR related deliverables, workforce planning, safety and wellbeing, and culture as well as application of relevant policies and procedures.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide clear, concise, and timely support to the Director and HR business partners and all levels of staff when required.
  • Maintain excellent HR records including the documentation of all HR issues.
  • Provide support to HR business partners with change projects and implementation of a range of HR initiatives.

About you

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated practical working experience in a HR support role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR functions, legislation, and best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide efficient support to all levels of staff.

Tertiary level degree in HR or equivalent relevant degree is highly desirable.
