About the Role
In this role, you will report to the Director, People and Culture (P&C) and be an integral member of the Divisional Director’s senior leadership team. You will proactively identify and analyse Divisional human capital needs and develop solutions with People & Culture’s Centres of Excellence to deliver on business objectives. You will be joining a highly motivated, people focused team delivering on the City’s P&C Strategy ensuring initiatives are embedded. 

The role will involve:

  • Working closely with the Director, P&C to drive the People agenda to meet business requirements and increase organisational effectiveness
  • Influencing business decision-making to ensure P&C issues and risk are considered systematically at the earliest possible point
  • Partnering with business leaders to deploy strategies to raise leadership and management capability 
  • A strong focus on the build and implementation of future ER/IR requirements
  • The development of an Employee Experience agenda within the business
  • Actively supporting a culture which reflects the City’s Plan, Values and ethical standards and encourages attraction and retention
  • Staying well-informed of legislation and current P&C publications and practise, and ensuring business compliance

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially focused Senior P&C Business Partner with experience working across multiple complex client groups to drive results and increase organisational effectiveness. 

This role is a mix of strategic partnering and hands on delivery, working to deliver key P&C projects that are integral to future organisational performance.

  • Knowledge and senior expertise of contemporary P&C practices and strategies including strategic workforce planning, talent & performance management, remuneration and reward, and organisational change
  • Ability to build effective relationships, influence and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve support and deliver desired outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage change and navigate complexity
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a similar field.
